Teresa Olsen joined the PA AAP in November, 2002 as Director of the SCAN Program. She reports to Suzanne Yunghans, Executive Director of PA AAP, as well as to the PA AAP Board and the SCAN pediatric advisor, Dr. Allan DeJong. Responsibilities include research and development of child abuse education training materials for medical professionals, facilitation of presenter and preceptor training, and creation of prevention materials. In addition, Ms. Olsen collaborates with other organizations, including other PA AAP programs, to work on mutual program goals. She provides fiscal oversight of the SCAN program and writes monthly and annual reports.

Joanne Gorgas has served as SCAN Senior Program Assistant since February, 2002. Ms. Gorgas is responsible for the coordination of all requested SCAN presentations which includes contacting SCAN presenters, sending confirmation letters, arranging for the shipping of training materials and collecting program evaluations. She has created and maintained an extensive database on the SCAN program and generates reports as needed. Ms. Gorgas coordinates all aspects of continuing education credits and submits the required quarterly reports. She also responds to all requests for prevention materials and maintains an inventory of SCAN print materials.
